We won't frighten you into it
No crime statistics for your postcode, no photographs of jemmied doors. If a couple of cameras and a decent light would sort it, that's what we'll tell you — even though it's the smaller job.
Newcastle upon Tyne · Morpeth · Northumberland
Cameras, alarms and door entry, fitted by the person who answers the phone. Answer five quick questions and you'll see roughly what it costs — before you give us your name, never mind your money.
Two minutes. No obligation. You'll get a price range on screen, and only then a choice about whether to go further.
How we work
Security has a selling problem. People get frightened into systems twice the size they need, tied into monitoring contracts they can't get out of, and left with a box on the wall nobody ever comes back to look at. Here's what we've decided against.
No crime statistics for your postcode, no photographs of jemmied doors. If a couple of cameras and a decent light would sort it, that's what we'll tell you — even though it's the smaller job.
No monitoring subscription, no rental agreement, no auto-renewing service plan. You buy the system, you own the system. If you never ring us again, it carries on working.
Every other firm in this trade says "call for a quote". Ours are on the page and in the quote tool. You'll know the rough number before you've spoken to anybody.
We can't get you an automatic police response — that needs an inspectorate-approved firm and we'd rather say so here than let you find out when you need it. The honest version.
What we fit
All of it installed and wired by the same person. Most security faults are wiring faults — cameras that drop out at night, alarms that trigger in the cold, entry panels that buzz but never unlock — and that's an electrician's problem, not a box-swapping one.
Cameras positioned to catch a face, not the top of a head. Recording stays on site — no cloud subscription. Set up on your phone and shown to you before we leave.
Sized to the property rather than to a sales target. A three-bed semi does not need fourteen detectors. Alerts land on your phone with nothing to pay monthly.
Audio and video entry for flats and offices, fobs, keypads and maglocks, gates and barriers. A lot of this is rescuing systems whose installer went out of business years ago.
The bit everyone else makes hard
Five questions — what you're protecting, what's prompted it, what you're thinking of, how big the place is, and that's it. You get a price range on screen straight away.
Only then does it ask whether you'd like Steve to ring you. If you'd rather just look and go away and think about it, that's a perfectly good outcome and nobody will chase you.
No surprises
Most people ringing a trade have been let down before. Here is the whole thing, start to finish, so you know what you're agreeing to.
Online quote, a phone call, or a photo on WhatsApp. You'll speak to Steve, not an office. If it's straightforward you'll get an idea of cost there and then. If it isn't, we'll say so rather than guess.
Half an hour at the property, walking round it with you. This is where the real answer comes from: where the light falls, where somebody would actually come in, what you can and can't run a cable through.
What's included, what isn't, and how long it'll take. No deposit to get a quote. Your 14-day right to cancel comes with it, in writing, before anything starts.
Tidy job, mess cleared, cameras checked after dark, and the app set up on your phone before we go. You'll be shown how to pull footage off it — most people never are, and it's the one thing you'll need under pressure.
The same person comes back, so you're not explaining your system to a stranger. An annual check is offered, never auto-charged, and you're reminded rather than chased.
Recent work
No stock photos and no models in hard hats. If it's on this page, we fitted it.
Replace these four with real job photos. Instructions are in README.txt.
Straight answers on cost
Published so you can budget before you ring. Every property is different, so these are starting points rather than quotes — you get a fixed written price once we've seen it. There's no VAT on top: this business isn't VAT registered, so the number you're quoted is the number you pay.
Prices include parts and labour unless the quote says otherwise. If anything about your property makes the job bigger — a long cable run, scaffolding, a listed building — it's on the quote as its own line, not buried in the total.
Where we work
Based in Ellington, working south into Newcastle and North Tyneside most days and north through the county. If you're not on the list it's still worth asking — travel is rarely the thing that makes a job impossible.
Before you ring
Use the quote tool — it'll give you a range in two minutes without asking who you are. For most homes a camera system lands somewhere between the two ends of that range depending on how many cameras and how awkward the cable runs are. You get a fixed price in writing after we've seen the property, and it doesn't move afterwards.
No. No monitoring fee, no cloud storage subscription, no service plan. You buy the system and you own it. The only thing you might choose to pay for again is an annual check, and that's optional and priced per visit.
No, and it matters that you hear that now rather than later. An automatic police response requires the system to be installed and monitored by a company certified by NSI or SSAIB holding a police reference number. We're not, so we can't.
What you can have is a loud local alarm and an instant alert to your phone and anyone else you nominate. For the great majority of homes and small businesses that's what actually gets used. If your insurer specifically requires a monitored system, tell us and we'll say so plainly rather than sell you something that won't satisfy them. More on this.
If your camera sees beyond your own boundary, data protection law applies to you as the owner. It's five reasonable things, not a minefield, and we set most of them up as part of the job — privacy masking, audio off unless you want it, sensible retention, the default password changed, and a sign. We've written the whole thing out plainly: home CCTV and the law.
Often, yes — it's a good share of the work. Alarm panels nobody has the code for, cameras that quietly stopped recording months ago, entry systems that buzz but never release. Existing cable can usually be reused, which is where most of the cost sits. Send a photo of the panel or camera and you'll get an honest view on repair versus replace.
Yes — shops, offices, workshops, yards and rental property. Out-of-hours where the premises need to keep trading. Say so in the quote and we'll work round your opening times.
When you agree a job in your own home you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days, and you'll be given that in writing before anything starts. If you need work done sooner than that we'll ask you to confirm in writing that you want us to begin straight away. Full details.
Two minutes, no name required, and you can walk away at the end knowing more than you did. That's a fine outcome as far as we're concerned.
