Why footage usually fails
- Mounted too high. The classic. You get a hat and a pair of shoulders. Faces need the camera nearer head height at the point people pass it.
- Pointed at the light. A camera looking towards a window or a low sun sees a silhouette.
- Covering too much. One camera trying to watch a whole garden sees nobody in particular.
- Nobody checked it at night. Most break-ins are not at two in the afternoon.
